Mumbai Indians team was led by Rohit Sharma and they dominated throughout the season. Mumbai and Delhi clashed 4 times in IPL 2020 and all 4 times MI defeated DC. Kagiso Rabada won the purple cap in IPL 2020 and Orange Cap in IPL 2020 was won by KL Rahul.

Gujarat Titans won the IPL 2022 Trophy for the first time and as a debut team, it was a huge accomplishment. It is also a huge success led for GT led by Hardik Pandya. The IPL 2022 was played between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals. RR made 130 runs after losing 9 wickets in 20 overs and GT was able to successfully chase that with 133 for 3 in 18.1 overs. The player of the match was Hardik Pandya and the Player of the series was Jos Buttler.
